Look What I Got Sent from The Swamp Walker who Killed Dale!

Some of you may already know about our Facebook page, I Love The Walking Dead, and if you didn’t you sure do now. Well, thanks to all the social buzz surrounding our page, we managed to get the attention of many actors who have had the pleasure of playing as walkers on The Walking Dead. Since then, I have managed to talk with many of these people who have all been involved as walkers, including those involved in both minor and major parts.

One of these actors that I am talking about is Kevin Galbraith, best known as The Swamp Walker, or the one that killed Dale!

Well, this guy was kind enough to send me signed pictures of him in role as well as an awesome piece of fan art that is also signed by Chandler Riggs, the actor who plays the part of Carl Grimes. Check out the pictures I took below, notice how it’s addressed directly to us – It’s fair to say Kevin is one awesome guy!

Kevin has not only played the part of The Swamp Walker though, he has also been involved as many other walkers including the one that got it’s teeth pulled out by Merle in the walker pit. Remember that scene?

The latest Walking Dead plush toys from Funko Pop!

You may have already heard of Funko Pop!, either through some of the walking dead toys they have already released or perhaps through some of the other merchandise they tend to come out with. Regardless of how you have heard of Funko Pop! you should check out these latest Walking Dead plush toys which will be available as of July (depending on which retailer you order from).

Daryl Dixon: Wearing a poncho with crossbow at the ready, it’s The Walking Dead Daryl Dixon Pop! Plush! This detailed plush features Daryl Dixon with shaggy ‘do, facial hair, and a serious expression on his face. Modeled after Norman Reedus’ portrayal of Daryl Dixon on the AMC TV show.

Rick Grimes: With a 5 o’clock shadow and gun at the ready, it’s The Walking Dead Rick Grimes Pop! Plush! This detailed plush features Rick Grimes in his King County sheriff’s hat and uniform. Modeled after Andrew Lincoln’s portrayal of Rick Grimes on the AMC TV show.

Well Zombie: From the second season episode “Cherokee Rose,” it’s The Walking Dead Well Zombie Pop! Plush! This horrifically detailed plush features the well walker from the fourth episode of season 2 split in half with a rope attached just above his waist. Modeled after one of the more gruesome zombies from the AMC TV show The Walking Dead.

Bicycle Girl: From the premiere episode titled “Days Gone Bye,” it’s The Walking Dead Bicycle Girl Pop! Plush! This horrifically detailed plush features the bicycle girl zombie from the first episode with her dead, stringy hair and visible rib cage with noodly tendons hanging from her waist. Modeled after one of the more gruesome zombies from the AMC TV show The Walking Dead.

These plush figures will be around 7 inches tall. They will be available from a number of places ranging from $9.99 – $17.00 (seems cheaper when bought online from what I have seen).

I was browsing through some more Walking Dead merchandise last night and came across another Walking Dead inspired T-Shirt. This is available on Redbubble.com in various colors/sizes and can be bought as a T-Shirt or a Hoodie.

TV Series 4 Figures Announced, First Images of Carl Released

Here are the first images of the Carl Grimes toy figure which will feature in the Series 4 set from McFarlane Toys.

Other figures announced as part of the TV Series 4 set will include The Governor, Andrea, Riot Gear Zombie, and Riot Gear Gas Mask Zombie (yes, the disgusting one which had it’s face pulled off by Rick!) I will post pictures of these as and when they become available.

The Walking Dead Season 3 Limited Edition Blu-ray

For the release of The Walking Dead Season 2 Limited Edition on Blu-ray last year, we got the brilliantly gruesome R.V zombie with the screwdriver in the eye. It made for one of the best DVD case’s I had most likely ever seen. Well, at least until now that is…

For Season 3, McFarlane Toys really have went ahead and outdone themselves. They have designed this case around The Governors collection of decapitated walker heads in the fish tanks. There are 5 heads in total, and even better it lights up thanks to an LED light. Not enough for you? How about this – you can even fill it up with water and watch an iconic scene from The Walking Dead come to life right before your eyes. Just imagine having this one sitting on your shelf.

Here’s what Robert Kirkman had to say about the process involved whilst working with McFarlane on this: “McFarlane has a very intimate relationship with AMC, so I was approving concepts on this Blu-Ray case before Season Three even aired… So while we were building things on set, Todd and the team at McFarlane Toys were coming in and scanning actors and scanning props. So having them come in and do the fish tank with the severed heads while we were still building it for the show is a pretty cool thing, and I think makes these products much more accurate and cooler for the fans.”

“I’m sure every mom in America will not approve of this, nor will she run out and buy it!,” said McFarlane about the new cast. “But once she gets out of the way, there’ll be tons of people that will enjoy it just for the good clean fun that it is!”

As of now there is no official release date or pricing for this case. I will make sure to keep you all updated with news as and when it is released. If you are planning on Pre-ordering when it becomes available, I would do so fast. I can see these selling out real quick!

The Walking Dead Michonne Statue by McFarlane Toys

If you are interested in collecting The Walking Dead statues/figurines then you are going to love this!

Some of you may have heard last year that there was a possibility that larger scale models of our favorite characters were going to be getting produced. The good news is that there was enough buzz created for this that it has actually went ahead. As you can see below, Michonne is the first character to have this awesome 14.5″ model.
