Season 7 Premiere SMASHES Ratings Once Again!

Rick can't quite believe the ratings!

Well, that wasn't really much of a shock now was it? The Season 7 Premiere absolutely destroyed TV ratings - almost as much as Negan destroyed poor Glenn's face.

What.

Too soon?

The Season 7 Premiere "The Day Will Come When You Won't Be" managed to deliver 17 million viewers with a phenomenal rating of 8.4 amongst adults aged 18-49. To put things into perspective, that's a higher rating than Sunday Night Football, not to mention any other series currently on the air.

The Walking Dead's all-time highest ratings happen to have been the season 5 Premiere - 17.3 million people tuned in to see how Rick and co. would escape from that box car back in Terminus.

Also, it turns out that the 90 minute special of Talking Dead which aired after the Premiere was the most-watched post-show ever with 7.6 million viewers. That's not much of a surprise, though, I mean the whole cast was pretty much there, not to mention Scott Gimple and Walking Dead creator Robert Kirkman himself!
